The month of August has arrived with Social Security payments for beneficiaries of SSI, SSDI and the Retirement, Survivors and Disability Insurance (RSDI) program.
After the SSA delivered the first two respective payments of the month, all RSDI beneficiaries who applied for benefits after May 1997 will now receive three additional payments based on the beneficiary’s date of birth.
SSI beneficiaries will receive their additional payment in the last week of the month, since September 1st falls on a Sunday. It is vitally important to note that whenever a payment date falls on a weekend or federal holiday, the Social Security Administration reschedules that date to the previous business day. All Social Security payments are confirmed for disabled and SSI beneficiaries in the month of August.
