A major class action lawsuit against the German vehicle brand Porsche has reached an agreement to pay owners of certain models of the brand that suffered damage.
According to the official settlement site, if your Porsche vehicle experienced a communications management system reset on or after May 20, 2020, you could receive a payment that could be as high as $7,500.
It is the PCM 3.1 system with XM satellite antenna, and the vehicles that had it entered a reset cycle from the mentioned date. Although the Porsche car brand has not admitted any wrongdoing, it agreed to reach a settlement with the plaintiffs to avoid one of those long, expensive and tedious trials and provided the class members with a million-dollar settlement in the form of compensation for the inconvenience caused.
Porsche Class Action Settlement – Up to $7,500 for Plaintiffs
The class action settlement will provide reimbursement to cover out-of-pocket costs incurred to repair the PCM reset (subject to certain limitations), including PCM replacements or repairs, battery replacements, towing, and alternative transportation costs, up to $7,500.
If you spent time dealing with the problem, but had no out-of-pocket costs to claim, or do not have documents to support your claim that you spent thousands of dollars to repair the system, you can choose between a $25 compensation or a dealer credit of$50.

In order to join the lawsuit as a plaintiff, you must have owned a Porsche vehicle as of May 20, 2020, which was equipped with an XM satellite radio antenna and a PCM 3.1 system.

If you have questions about the year and model of your Porsche car, you can go to the official website of the class action settlement, where you will find a section where you can enter the vehicle’s VIN number and you will be told if you are eligible to receive The compensation.
You have until August 20, 2024, to file a claim and determine if you qualify to receive up to $7,500. If you do not file your claim correctly and on time, you will not receive benefits from the class action settlement.
